2007 Zag Scholar Program Application

Prospective Applicant,

Thank you for your interest in the 2007 GDI Zag Scholars Program.  Please return complete applications via email.

There are 4 components to a complete application:

1) Cover Letter/Personal Statement

2) Student Information Form – Click here for student information form. This will include your past record at tournaments, institutes you have attended, and demographic information.

3) Debate Essay – Short essay on one of the following themes:

a. Strategy and Argument Development

b. Communication Ethics in Debate

c. Competition and Winning

d. Counterplan Theory

e. Performance Debate

f. Electronic Research Methods

g. My Favorite Argument is…… (this better be good)

4) Recommendation – We need at least one but more can't generally hurt.

Please submit all portions of the applications in a single word document file. The name of this file should be Zag Scholar Application - Your Name. Please also use that as your email subject line when emailing your application.  Letters of rec may be sent separately. Send application file to .
